Media - Textbooks - Music

Destiny is the future of the media center and will allow us to "see" our resources. Here is the text from an important e-mail from Deb Fidali.

As of today, the media center will have 'altered' check-in and check-out for the next two weeks. This is necessary as we change over to the new software system called Destiny. Because the process is not the normal check-in and check-out, all work has to be supervised. Because of this, these changes must be made:

- A volunteer will be here every morning until around 10:00 to assist and supervise. ALL students and staff must be supervised.

- During times that I have a class, you may not send students to independently check out UNLESS you know that I will be available to supervise.

- All students/staff must have their barcoded tags as we won't be typing in any numbers.

I am sorry for the inconvenience. Deb Fidali

Here is another important reminder from Linnea and Karon.

Pleeease...Linnea needs your grade level vote for the math adoption if you have not given it to her already. She must report to her committee on Thursday. She needs Brunson's results by tomorrow, Wednesday, December 10 so that she can tally our votes and represent Brunson on Thursday at her textbook meeting.
Folks, this is like voting for anything else. If you don't vote, you can't complain about the results.
Thank you for getting your vote to Linnea as soon as possible. We appreciate her serving in this capacity for us.

Thanks, Karon Kiger - Curriculum Coordinator

And last but not least a call for assembly assistance.

Regarding the Dec. 19 program. I realize that everyone has too many obligations at this time of year, but could you look and volunteer for some of the "to do" list for the 19th? A few people have offered to do some of the tasks, but there are still quite a few things on the list.

I'd like to schedule 2 practices with the 2nd graders for next week:
Thursday the 18th from 2 to 2:30 (G. Moore has PE then)
Friday the 19th from 9:15 to 10:00 (2nd grade PE time...OK)
The 5th grade practice will be on Friday the 19th from 10 to 11 (Patrick's PE time).

Betty
