PTA Rummage sale info

This is a message to the PTA board about our rummage sale on October 10th. Please do all you can a s a staff to support this new initiative for our families.

Dear PTA Board Members,
I'm very excited to announce that we will be having a PTA sponsored Rummage Sale on Saturday, October 10, 10 am - 1 pm. It will be held in the gym and cafeteria, and a picnic lunch will be held outside on the school grounds as well (bring your own food). I think this will be a great event that will benefit the entire Brunson community in many ways. More publicity and information will be coming, but at this point I want to share the following items:

*I will be chairing the event but I will need some help and hope some of you will be interested in this project. I could use one person to assist with volunteer coordination and others to help with sorting and pricing items and staffing the sale on Saturday. Please email me ASAP if you are willing to help.

*Collection of items will occur the week before the sale in the school lobby, Monday, 10/5 thru Friday, 10/9. Please spread the word to those you feel might have items to donate. We are accepting the following: Baby and Children's clothing, books, toys, dolls and stuffed animals, games, household linens (towels, sheets, blankets, baby blankets). All items should be in good condition. Tax-deductible receipts will be available. This is a great opportunity to clean out some stuff and help Brunson at the same time.

*All Brunson families are welcome to shop at the sale. We hope this sale will provide some of our families who might really be in need of items to get them at a very low price. Most items will be priced at $1 or less. However, the more shoppers we have the more money we'll make, and we encourage any family that is interested to come and shop.

*At this point it would be very helpful if board members could do the following: Spread the word to the Brunson community, begin collecting items to donate, save plastic shopping bags for the sale, and save cardboard boxes to use for sorting items.

Please email me with any questions or comments and if you can volunteer with this project.

Thank you!
Colleen Lopina
